Week 20: Refreshing Raised Beds…

Another busy week down the Allotment enjoying the warm sunny weather and the long warm days. Now that I’m picking (Desiree) Potatoes, Red Sun Shallots & Stuttgarter White Onions, and my peas have finished, I have been refreshing some of the raised beds.

Former Desiree Potatoes being cleared with new seeds sowed (Vienna Radish & El Grinta Spinach) alongside new Herb bed.

New Tarragon plant added to the former Potatoes Raised Bed, now becoming a herb bed next to the Parsley, Chives and Dill.

My Thyme and Sage doing well with the Sweetheart Cabbage in  another raised bed.

My Leek collection now covers two adjacent Raised Beds and another half, all lined up and hoping to fatten up.

Former Onion bed has been cleared and making way for replanting Leeks (Lyon 2 & Toledo) and NEW Carrots (Chantenay & Parmex).
