Week 10: New structures and measured progress.

It was always the plan to have some sort of structure next to the shed to allow me a shaded seating area with greenery growing along tall blue beams so this weekend (with a bank holiday) seemed a great time to build it up. After some careful measuring, wood was acquired and chopped into the right size so a framework could be constructed on the plot.

A nice seating area has been built.

Level with the shed (as there is a height restriction for all structures on the allotment).

So after ten short weeks of managing my plot, I can see a real difference: structure, orderliness, straight-lines and growth. Pleasing to see new leaves on the onions, potato bushes pushing through, strawberries and raspberries being formed and pea flowers attracting wildlife.
