On the first Friday of every month there is a skip, left by one of the gates and I was told you need to be ready and early if you want to use it. Surprisngly from the 406 plot holders, there’s a lot of rubbish, I guess its change: old sheds, bits and pieces. So on the Thursday evening, seven wheelbarrows of rubbish were moved closer to the arriving skip in preparation and metal works left for the scrapman in a separate pile. An early start waiting with other allotment holders for the skip which arrived at 810. By 830, all my rubbish was in the skip, now half full and later that day, I was digging over the soil and adding manure.
